The short version: PDF Converter does its work on your device. There is no server of ours that receives your documents, your scans, or their contents.

Anzar Narmawala (“we”, “us”) operates the PDF Converter app (“the App”), published on the App Store, Google Play and the Microsoft Store. This policy explains what data the App collects, how it is used, and who it is shared with. It applies to all three editions; where they differ, that is called out below.

What the App does with your documents

Camera, photo library, and file access

The App requests camera and photo library access so you can scan documents or convert existing images, and file access so you can pick files to convert. These permissions are used only for the file or camera capture you initiate. We do not scan your photo library or your files in the background.

Subscriptions

The App offers an optional “Pro” subscription. Who bills you, and who processes the data involved, depends on which edition you are using. In every case we do not receive your payment details — card numbers and the like are handled entirely by the store.

iOS and Android. Billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, with subscription state handled through RevenueCat. To manage subscriptions and restore purchases across devices, RevenueCat and the app stores process:

RevenueCat's own privacy policy is at revenuecat.com/privacy.

Windows. Billed through the Microsoft Store, against the Microsoft account signed in on your PC. RevenueCat is not used in the Windows edition at all, and no third-party subscription service receives any data from it. The App asks Windows itself whether your account holds an active subscription, using the built-in Microsoft Store licensing API; that check happens between your PC and Microsoft. We receive no identifier for you, and Microsoft's handling of your account and purchase data is covered by the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

Subscriptions do not carry across stores: each store bills its own account, and the App has no login that could link them. A subscription bought on Android or iOS therefore does not unlock the Windows edition, and vice versa.

Diagnostics

The current version of the App logs basic usage events (for example, “a document was converted”) and error details only to your device's local system log, for debugging during development. As of this version that data is not transmitted to us or to any third party. If we add a crash-reporting or analytics service in future, we will update this policy first, to name the service and describe what it collects.

Data retention and deletion

Converted, scanned and signed documents stay on your device until you delete them from within the App, or until you uninstall the App, which removes them along with it. We hold no copy of your documents.

Children's privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

If we change what data the App collects or how it is used, we will update this page and change the effective date above.
