These terms are an agreement between you and Anzar Narmawala (“we”, “us”), the publisher of the BillSnap app (“the App”). By installing or using the App you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the App. How we handle your data is described in the BillSnap Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
The service
BillSnap lets you photograph bills, receipts and invoices, reads their details using an AI service, and stores the results on your phone so you can review, edit and export them. We may change, improve or stop features of the App from time to time.
Accuracy and tax use
- Details are read automatically and can be incomplete or wrong, including amounts, dates, GSTIN and other tax numbers, and tax lines. The App flags some problems it detects, but it cannot catch every error.
- Check every figure against the original bill before you rely on it, in particular before claiming input tax credit, filing returns or making payments.
- BillSnap is a record-keeping tool. It does not give tax, accounting or legal advice, and it does not replace the original bill as a tax document.
Free scans and BillSnap Pro
- Free plan. A limited number of scans each calendar month (India time), as shown in the App. Phones that sign in with email instead of the device check get a smaller free allowance.
- Pro. A monthly subscription with a higher scan allowance, as shown on the Pro screen. The price is shown in the App before you buy, in your local currency, and is charged by the App Store or Google Play to your store account.
- Automatic renewal. Pro renews automatically each month at the then-current price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel it in your App Store or Google Play account settings; deleting the App does not cancel it.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their refund policies; we cannot issue them ourselves.
- Allowances. Unused scans do not carry over to the next month. A scan that fails for a reason on our side is not counted. We may limit unusually heavy or automated use to keep the service available for everyone.
Your content and your responsibilities
- You keep all rights in the bills you scan. You let us, and the providers named in the Privacy Policy, process them only as needed to read them for you.
- Only scan documents you are entitled to use. Do not use the App to process other people's documents without their permission, or for anything unlawful.
- Do not reverse engineer, interfere with or overload the App or its servers, bypass the device check or usage limits, or access the service except through the App.
- You are responsible for backing up your bills. They are stored only on your phone, and we cannot recover them if the phone is lost or the App's data is erased without a backup.
Availability
Scanning needs an internet connection and depends on our servers and third-party providers. We aim to keep it running but do not promise it will always be available or error-free. Scans taken while the service is unavailable are queued on your phone and retried.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The App is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties about it beyond those the law requires. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses caused by relying on extracted figures without checking them, such as disallowed tax credit, penalties or interest. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for BillSnap Pro in the 3 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer-protection law that cannot be excluded.
Ending your use
You can stop using the App at any time and delete your data from Settings → Delete my data. We may suspend or end access for anyone who breaks these terms or misuses the service. If we stop offering BillSnap altogether, we will give reasonable notice in the App so you can export your bills.
App Store and Google Play
These terms are between you and us, not Apple or Google. Apple and Google are not responsible for the App or its content, have no obligation to provide support for it, and, for the App Store version, Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them. The store's own terms also apply to your download and purchases.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will change the effective date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the App. Continuing to use the App after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in Ahmedabad, Gujarat have jurisdiction, subject to any right you have to bring a claim where you live.
